The Humidour Cigar Shoppe was established in 1997 by Ben Pecunes and his father “Daddy Jim” Pecunes, at its original location in Padonia Village.  Shortly thereafter along came daughter Finnie who immediately, brought the shoppe into prominence, with her organizational and public relation skills. 
           
As the shoppe grew, the rest of the family became an integral part of the growth.  Son Dean handled all of the technical aspects of the business, while his wife Laura became a counter clerk.  Son Ben handled the interior designing and painting of the shoppe and son Michael oversaw the maintenance.  Daughter Angie became part of the staff, along with her future husband Matt.  All the while “Mama P.” was treating all the customers with her famous Greek Specialties.  Daughter Doreen & Husband Tony provided all of the catering from Barron’s.  Finnie then met husband to be Chris at the trade show in Vegas and he, with his vast knowledge, became an essential part of the shoppe's operation. Favorite niece, Nia, pulled in all the loose ends.

After ten successful years at the original location, expansion became critical and the move to our present location on York Road took place.  From 800sq. feet to 2400sq. feet, the family once again pulled together to create one of the most impressive smoke shops in the area

The Humidour now boasts an incredible array of fine cigars in their split- level humidor.  Unique accessories, fine pipes and pipe tobacco are located in the “Man’s Mall”.  Our spacious smoking lounge boast leather recliners, three satellite TV’s, wi-fi connection and refreshments are offered to the customers. 

Recently opened on the second floor is “ Club Ashton” with a private membership that consists of four separate rooms: three lounges and a conference/multi-purpose room with three flat screen TV’s.  Each member enjoys an oversized, humidified locker, monthly events and shoppe discounts. 

Since its establishment, The Humidour has offered the most cigar events in the area.  There are anywhere from 2-4 events each month to promote the various cigars and accessories featured at the shoppe.  All events are promoted thru the yearly calendar and distributed to all customers.  Most events include complimentary cigars, food, drinks, give-a-ways and more. 

We are known throughout the industry for the now famous annual charity event, “Smoke on the Water”.  This event is held on Baltimore’s Inner Harbor and sells out every year.  All proceeds go to local charities.
